The Challenge
Existing digital solutions in the healthcare domain suffered from several critical usability and experience issues, including:
Complex and inefficient appointment flows
Information-heavy and hard-to-read doctor profile screens
Inconsistent interface components
Low usability for patients
Difficult time-slot management for doctors
Inability to perform patient-related actions during consultations
Poorly structured and fragmented information architecture on the admin side
The primary goal was to create a clean, modern, and trustworthy experience that enables users to complete their needs in the shortest possible time, with clarity and ease.
Process
Design System
A scalable UI kit was created by designing a comprehensive color palette, typography hierarchy, buttons, form fields, table structures, icon sets, and status indicators.
Visual consistency and a unified design language were maintained across patient, doctor, and admin interfaces.
Wireframes – Prototyping
In the early stages, multiple interface alternatives were rapidly explored and validated using low-fidelity wireframes.
Clickable prototypes were built in Figma, and task-based usability testing was conducted with selected users.
Design–Development Collaboration
Close collaboration with developers focused on screen behaviors, responsive rules, component structures, and edge-case scenarios.
Interaction details were thoroughly documented, particularly for doctor scheduling and appointment slot management screens.
Solution

Complex doctor scheduling and appointment slot management processes were simplified through clear and streamlined user flows.
The time required for patients to book appointments was reduced, and an interface structure was created that users could easily understand on first use.
Consistent and Scalable Interface
Development speed increased thanks to a platform-wide design system.
The cost of adding new screens was reduced, while UI consistency was maintained across all user types.

Many flows that were missing in competing products—such as slot conflict prevention, fast appointment booking, doctor availability management, and advanced search—were designed and optimized within the product.
